Located in Baysville, Ontario, Lake of Bays Brewing Co. is a popular stop for folks touring the east side of Muskoka and into Algonquin Park along Highway 117. In the warmer months, enjoy a pint on their tasting patio that features a massive mural replica of Group of Seven artist A.J. Casson’s “Country Road.” Their philosophy is simple: make great beer, run a down-to-earth business, and have some fun while they’re at it. LOB is passionate about balanced, drinkable beer, the kind that pleases your palate and leaves you wanting more after the first glass. They have a small core of year-round brands, and a rotation of seasonal beers, too. Their objective is always the same: to create a great-tasting beer that’s simple, honest and all-natural to boot.
2018 saw Lake of Bays Brewing Co add a location to their roster in the form of a brew pub – Huntsville Brewhouse – in Huntsville’s downtown core. Stop by to try experimental one-offs, savour some delicious food, and enjoy live music and event nights year round.
Adding another location in Bracebridge in 2020, the Bracebridge Barrelhouse boasts 4,200 sq. ft. spread over two floors with seating for 125 people. In addition to one-time and barrel-aged offerings, the Barrelhouse offers LB’s well known core beer lineup, as well as wine and cocktails. Similar to the Brewhouse in Huntsville, the Barrelhouse serves a wide variety of upscale pub fare, incorporating fresh and seasonal ingredients from the Bracebridge area.
