Check out some of these cool creations and hop onto the Cottage Country Beer Trail this winter. But remember, most of these breweries offer online contactless delivery options too – this means you can bring the Cottage Country Beer Trail right to your front door… it doesn’t get much better than that, eh!?

Lake of Bays Brewing Co.

Lake of Bays Brewing Co. has been a force on the Cottage Country Beer Trail after recently opening their third location, the Bracebridge Barrel House. With a menu inspired by locally sourced ingredients, both the Bracebridge Barrel House and the Huntsville Brew House are must stop spots on the trail. Be sure to check out their Twilight Hour Coffee Stout; a stout with creamy notes of cappuccino foam and caramel.

Trestle Brewing Company

Parry Sound’s Trestle Brewing Company has plenty of delicious beers, but make sure this winter to check out the Ice Crocodile. Coming in at 6.1%, this Winter Saison starts with a base of Canadian grown pilsner malt, pale malt, wheat malt and flaked rye for a creamy mouthfeel – delicious!

Muskoka Brewery

Muskoka Brewery has a must try stout named Winter Beard – a double chocolate cranberry stout with roasted dark chocolate malts, real cocoa, dark chocolate, and freshly harvested local cranberries. Another great brew to check out by the fine folks at Muskoka Brewery is the Shinnicked Stout; a rich, velvety stout infused with Muskoka Roastery’s Signature Lumberjack coffee.

Sawdust City Brewing Co.

What do you get when you build a beer around the combination of chocolate, vanilla, graham cracker and raspberries? You get Sawdust City’s Viva La Stout. This tasty cookie flavored stout comes in at 5.9% and can be bought from the brewery, their online store, and from the LCBO. If you’re a fan of stouts, check out Stout Night at Sawdust City Brewing Co. happening December 1st, 2020 at 7:00 pm – a tutored tasting of Sawdust City’s specialty stouts by Brewmaster Sam Corbeil.

Sawdust City Brewing Co. has been at the forefront when it comes to innovating and creating delicious brews – but they’ve brought something very new and exciting to the table this time; they’ve partnered with Wood Be Cute, a Muskoka based company who creates 100% soy wax candles and home decor. With this partnership these two companies will be creating and selling candles with the scent of your favourite Sawdust City brews – how cool!

South River Brewing Co.

The Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run is an annual event that has been running since 1985. Each year envelopes and letters are loaded onto a few teams of dogsleds and hauled 17 km through the forest to the nearby town of Rosseau. South River Brewing Co. has created a delicious brew to pay homage to this long standing event, and they have named it the Mushers Malt; an English Brown Ale with flavourful, malt-focused beer with hints of nuttiness, biscuit and caramel. Another delicious brew to check out is their Limited Edition Imperial Stout; a 10% Imperial Stout that you can enjoy immediately, or save for the right occasion for up to 10 years if stored upright in a cool, dark environment.
